I study how far today's quantum computers can actually go — and what it takes to find out.

About

I am a physicist working in quantum computing and quantum simulation. I studied Physics at Eastern Mediterranean University in Famagusta, North Cyprus, completing both my B.Sc. and my M.Sc. there, and I am now a doctoral student in the same department, where I also work as a Research Assistant.

My work sits where theory meets practice. Quantum computers are no longer only a thought experiment, but the machines that exist today are noisy and small, and it is not always obvious what they can genuinely do better than an ordinary computer. That gap — between what the theory promises and what the hardware currently delivers — is what interests me.

Alongside research I teach. I run undergraduate laboratory sessions and problem-solving tutorials, mentor students through their coursework, and represent the department in outreach visits to local high schools.

Research Interests

Quantum mechanics, quantum computing and quantum algorithms, with a broader interest in quantum information and the simulation of quantum systems.
